- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or oat milk)
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder (culinary or ceremonial grade)
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk matcha powder with 1โ2 tablespoons of warm water until smooth (no lumps).
- In a jar or container, combine almond milk, whisked matcha, vanilla, and sweetener. Stir well.
- Add chia seeds. Mix thoroughly, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Stir again to prevent clumps, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Serve topped with fresh fruit or coconut flakes, if desired.
Notes
Naturally vegan and gluten-free. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Start with 1 tbsp chia to avoid bloating if new to it.
