Description

These Hot Honey Ground Beef Bowls are sweet, spicy, and savory with a customizable base and bold, crave-worthy flavor—perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (85% or 90% lean)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (Frank’s, Sriracha, or Cholula)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)
  • Cooked jasmine or basmati rice
  • Mashed or roasted sweet potatoes
  • Cauliflower rice
  • Whipped cottage cheese (optional)
  • Avocado slices (optional)
  • Pickled red onions (optional)
  • Fried or poached egg (optional)
  • Everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground beef, breaking it apart until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  2. Drain fat if needed, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir in soy or Worcestershire sauce if using and cook 2–3 more minutes.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey, hot sauce, vinegar, and butter. Stir until smooth and glossy, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Prepare your base: rice, sweet potatoes, or cauliflower rice.
  5. Top with seasoned ground beef and drizzle generously with hot honey sauce.
  6. Add toppings like cottage cheese, avocado, pickled onions, and egg as desired. Sprinkle with seasoning and serve.

Notes

Store beef and sauce separately for meal prep. Customize with your preferred base and toppings for the best experience.
