Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and finely ground Earl Grey tea leaves.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent excessive spreading.
- Scoop out dough, roll into balls, and place on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
