Description
Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket are the ultimate crowd-pleaser. These bite-sized treats deliver the perfect balance of crispy dough and savory sausage, all cooked to golden perfection in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 cocktail sausages (Little Smokies or Mini Franks), about 12 oz
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough, cut into 24 smaller strips
- 1 large egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon of water for egg wash (optional)
- Optional Add-Ons:
- 6 slices of cheddar, pepper jack, or mozzarella cheese, cut into smaller strips
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds for sprinkling
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3-5 minutes.
- Unroll the crescent dough and cut it into small triangles. Optionally, use sandwich bread for a lighter version.
- Place a cocktail sausage at the wider end of each dough triangle and roll it toward the narrow end.
- For a cheesy version, add a small slice of cheese inside before rolling.
- Brush with egg wash for a crispy, golden finish.
- Arrange the pigs in a blanket in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space for even airflow.
- Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Let cool for a minute before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Try variations by using puff pastry for a flakier option or whole wheat bread for a healthier twist. Sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for added crunch.
